We are excited to share that Doug Adomatis will join the Triple Tree team this Summer as our Summer Programs Coordinator. Doug is one of the most respected aviation educators in the nation and an experienced General Aviation and Radio Control aviator. Doug is an AOPA teacher scholarship recipient and has soloed and is nearing private pilot certification. He is also an experienced Radio Control pilot enjoying the hobby for over three decades.
Doug started in the business world and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics from Georgia Tech and a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Science from Clemson. After being in business for himself, he changed careers to teaching and inspiring others.
Doug’s full-time job is as the lead Aviation Instructor at Greenville Technical Charter High School. Doug was a trailblazer in providing his student’s unique opportunities and was the first in South Carolina to teach the AOPA High School Aviation STEM Curriculum. Most recently, he organized the first statewide aviation competition, called AviCom.
Doug and his wife Bonnie enjoy exploring the great outdoors in their free time, including skiing and scuba diving.
Doug’s background and experience in the classroom and the cockpit will add tremendous value and insight to our educational portfolio. We are honored to have him on our team and confident he will make a great addition to our Triple Tree family.
