The mission of the Triple Tree Aerodrome is to Ignite and Expand the Passion for Aviation.
At Triple Tree, we host both model and general aviation events, fostering mutual interests between the two. Driven by the Triple Tree golden rule; Fun, Fellowship, and Hospitality, our values assure participants will be engaged by a uniquely positive experience.
Proceeds from events are used to fund our Aviation Centered Education (ACE) portfolio.
Ben’s first experience with flying was at the age of two. He flew in a V-Tail Bonanza at Greenville Downtown Airport in South Carolina. From there, his love of aviation grew. At age nine he flew his first Radio Controlled aircraft, and by age 14, he was competing on a national level through the International Miniature Aerobatic Club (IMAC).
On his 16th birthday, he soloed two aircraft, a C-172 and the Triple Tree Aerodromes J-3 Piper Cub. He has amassed over 200 hours of flight time and achieved endorsements for Tailwheel, Complex, and High-Performance operations in General Aviation Aircraft. When he is not flying General Aviation aircraft, he competes with Radio Control aircraft at various IMAC completion across the United States. In 2020, he won 1st place in the IMAC Regional Competition for Intermediate Class.
Outside of the cockpit, Ben is currently a Senior at J.L. Mann High School in Greenville, SC where he holds a 3.2 GPA. After graduation, he plans on attending Middle Georgia State University, where he plans to Major in Aviation Science Management.
In his free time, he enjoys working on all types of aircraft and volunteers on the Triple Tree Aerodrome Young Aviators Council to promote Triple Tree Aerodromes Aerospace Centered Education (ACE) programs.
The Triple Tree Aerodrome (TTA) located in the Upstate of South Carolina, is proud to be the home of our very own Aviation Centered Education (ACE) programs. Our ACE portfolio is multifaceted to include learners of all ages. To accomplish this, we have created different programs.
TTA offers these services at a free or reduced rate to our community as part of our mission to ignite and expand the passion for aviation!
