The 2023 Chilly Chili has been rescheduled to February 11, 2023.
Our airport is the home of some of the most significant aviation events across the globe. We have a collection of iconic aircraft such as the P-51 Mustang, Boeing Stearman, Spartan Executive, BT-13, and many other unique pieces of aviation history.
However, did you know that our 400-acre property is bordered by the iconic Enoree River and has a replica of Monet’s Garden in Givenchy, France? We also have over 5 miles of walking trails, multiple lakes, and the most beautiful, picturesque, and peaceful scenery you will ever see.
Arrive as early as 2 pm. Starting at 5 pm and ending at 7 pm, we will proudly showcase some of our General Aviation and Radio Controlled aircraft. We will also serve a seafood extravaganza consisting of shrimp, salmon, crab legs, and more. There will even be a raffle opportunity for a ride in our P-51 Mustang. The grounds are also yours to explore and enjoy. In the evening, we will have a fire and can enjoy the scenic majesty of our airport.
The Triple Tree Aerodrome is a registered 501c3 with the IRS, and a portion of your ticket may be tax-deductible.
Plane | Type | Notes | |
5:00 PM | Spartan Executive | General Aviation | 1939 Aircraft and currently less than 20 are in operation. This aircraft was favored by Howard Hughes & wealthy industrialist J. Paul Getty |
5:30 PM | Radio Control Aerobatics | Radio Control | Compare styles between a large-scale, “smooth and precise” electric aerobatic RC plane to a “high energy” aircraft with nearly 3-1 thrust-to-weight ratio! |
6:30 PM | Radio Control Speed & Scale | Radio Control | Watch the “big-air” aerobatics of an electric Hughes helicopter, followed by a real turbine RC jet that’ll go over 150mph. If there’s time, we’ll unleash a high horsepower speed aircraft that flies so fast it’s almost hard to see! |
7:00 PM | P-51 | General Aviation | Raffle Winner Announced! Iconic WW2 Aircraft, invaluable to the Allied victory |
