Our airport is the home of some of the most significant aviation events across the globe. We have a collection of iconic aircraft such as the Boeing Stearman, Spartan Executive, BT-13, and many other unique pieces of aviation history.
However, did you know that our 400-acre property is bordered by the iconic Enoree River and has a replica of Monet’s Garden in Givenchy, France? We also have over 5 miles of walking trails, multiple lakes, and the most beautiful, picturesque, and peaceful scenery you will ever see.
Arrive as early as 2 pm. Starting at 5 pm and ending at 7 pm, we will proudly showcase some of our General Aviation and Radio Controlled aircraft. There will even be a raffle opportunity for a ride in our 1942 Boeing Stearman and 1939 Spartan Executive Airplane. The grounds are also yours to explore and enjoy. In the evening, we will have a fire and can enjoy the scenic majesty of our airport.
The Triple Tree Aerodrome is a registered 501c3 with the IRS, and a portion of your ticket may be tax-deductible.
Airlines have warned about a pilot shortage for several years, during the pandemic the issue was accelerated when airlines encouraged pilots to take early retirement when air travel collapsed in 2020. Since then, tens of thousands of pilots have left the cockpit.
Industry estimates how that airlines in North America will face a shortage of nearly 30,000 pilots by 2032. The supply of new pilots will grow, but not enough to offset a continuing wave of retirements.
There is cause for hope, the Triple Tree Aerodrome and our unique approach to educating the next generation of aviation professionals in our Aviation Centered Education programs or ACE
In the past decade, we have given over $65,000 in scholarship opportunities to young men and women. The skills they learn through ACE provide them with a skill set and a “flight path” towards a high paying sustainable career. Additionally, they are taught life lessons which will develop them into better citizens outside of the cockpit.
5:30 | Radio Control- Aerobatics | Compare styles between a large-scale, “smooth and precise” electric aerobatic RC plane to a “high energy” aircraft with nearly 3-1 thrust-to-weight ratio! |
6:00 | Radio Control-Speed & Scale | Watch the “big-air” aerobatics of an electric Hughes helicopter, followed by a real turbine RC jet that’ll go over 150mph. If there’s time, we’ll unleash a high horsepower speed aircraft that flies so fast it’s almost hard to see! |
7:00 PM* Raffle | 1943 Boeing Stearman | The Boeing Stearman Model 75 was the most prolific American biplane trainer aircraft of the Second World War, over 10,000 were built and they were the first aircraft flown by many of America’s WWII fighter pilot aces. Currently, less than 1,000 of these iconic aircraft remain in operation. |
7:00 PM * Raffle | 1939 Spartan Executive | 1939 Aircraft and currently less than 20 are in operation. This aircraft was favored by Howard Hughes & wealthy industrialist J. Paul Getty |
