Smoothing the Airplane Parking and Taxiway on east side of the Runway and Better Flying Conditions for the RC Pilots
As the Triple Tree Fly-in Grows, more and more parking will be needed, so a two phase project has been launched to make the North East side of the runway a better place to park aircraft. Phase 1, which has already begun, is to smooth the grounds adjacent to the runway next the Pine trees for better access to these areas. Phase 2 will be to remove the row of pine trees across from the upper gazebo opening up the field behind them for airplane parking. This new area will be smooth and grass covered, giving us a great new area for airplane parking and camping. The Removal of the trees will also benefit the RC Pilots by opening the area across from the pilot stations for emergency landings and low flybys.
