“Uncle” John Hartness, the brother of Tom Hartness, the founder of the internationally acclaimed Greenville corporation Hartness International, has been a dedicated supporter of Triple Tree Aerodrome for many years. As an esteemed volunteer and active pilot, he continues to inspire with his unwavering passion for aviation, influencing countless lives.
Last year, “Uncle” John made headlines with his historic flight to celebrate his 100th birthday, gaining recognition from multiple regional and national news outlets, including Fox News. Over the past year, he has continued to thrive, even participating in a video by renowned YouTuber Mr. Beast titled “Ages 1-100 Decide Who Wins.” He remains actively involved at Triple Tree Aerodrome, offering mentorship and embodying our core values of fun, fellowship, and hospitality.
